Cheltenham Glass and Glazing recently completed the installation of both bi-fold and French doors in anthracite grey at the Leckhampton home of Mr & Mrs D.
As part of plans to improve their large open-plan kitchen and living space, Mr & Mrs D. were keen to give their home a modern, contemporary finish.
Adam Worth, Director of Cheltenham Glass and Glazing visited Mr & Mrs D. to discuss all options available to them, including whether to use traditional uPVC or more modern aluminium doors.
“In recent years we have seen aluminium frames become increasingly popular for bi-fold and French doors across Gloucestershire,” said Adam.
“Whilst the initial cost is higher for aluminium frames, they are more durable, stronger and widely regarded as more visually pleasing than uPVC frames. All of these factors mean lower maintenance costs after installation than for uPVC. Aluminium frames also have a much longer lifespan than uPVC”.
